Parking Attendant - Regular Full-Time


GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB

 

Under general supervision, maintains cash register and associated parking equipment.  Directs traffic and oversees parking of guests, employees and residents at the Deep Point Parking Facility.  Reports to the Lead Parking Attendant.

Essential Functions:

 

Politely and cheerfully greets guests, employees, contractors, and residents according to customer service standards, monitors traffic flow and directs vehicles to appropriate parking space.

 

Monitors and ensures security of vehicles, customers and employees.

 

Accurately collects fees for parking, and prepares appropriate reports for accounting.

 

Maintains accurate cash register account. 

 

Accurately completes deposits and maintains bank bags.

 

Maintains daily parking logbooks.

 

Maintains Parking Soft, Excel, Microsoft Word, and parking card control reports.

 

Provides assistance in maintaining up to date information such as parking agreements, waiting lists, and customer records.

 

Performs routine preventive maintenance on parking equipment; working outside on gates, ticket spitters, and validators in adverse weather; reporting damaged equipment to department manager.

 

Work schedule includes days, evenings, weekends and holidays, outdoors in all weather conditions

 

 

 

Additional Functions:

 

Cleans and maintains parking booth, lots and sidewalks.

 

Empties trash containers.

 

Provides help to guests with minor car problems such as dead batteries and flat tires.

 

Performs other related work as directed.

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

 

Graduation from high school or equivalent and one year of experience in a related job involving work in operating or knowledge of a cash register; or an equivalent combination of training and experience to provide the necessary required skills, knowledge, and abilities.  Candidate should possess computer skills and Scan Net experience is preferred. 

 

                                                   SPECIAL REQUIREMENT (S)

 

Possession of valid North Carolina driver's license.
